Product Description
The Pillow Porch solves the problem of bedding accessory storage. Most people store decorative pillows, throws and other accessories on the floor or dusty chairs. The Pillow Porch stores neatly between the mattress and boxspring and slides out when you need the shelf space. Your pillows, blankets & throws stay clean and organized! Fits all beds from twin to king!
Whether you have carpet, hardwood or an area rug, the floor where you store your pillows has millions of dust mites, bacteria, mold, cleaning chemicals and other allergens which affect you and your family. Every day people store bedding accessories on the floor which attract all these allergens and then get transferred to your sheets, blankets and pillows every time you make your bed. The Pillow Porch neatly stores these accessories off the floor and away from all those potentially harmful substances.
This Pillow Porch is a unique concept which was designed for those with allergies in mind. Your bedroom floor is littered with millions of dust particles, dust mites, dust bunnies and all sorts of other allergens. Most people will decorate their bed with everything from coverlets to duvets to several decorative pillows. Your kids put all their stuffed animals, teddy bears and other toys on their beds when not in use. The most common place where we put all these accessories is on the floor, in a corner or sometimes even under the bed.
One of the most common allergies these days is dust. The majority of house dust is comprised of dust mites and their droppings (enzymes). The House dust mites are on all surfaces and even suspended in air. Dust mites feed on minute particles of organic matter, the main constituent of house dust. They excrete enzymes to digest dust particles; these enzymes and their feces, in turn, become part of house dust and can provoke allergic reactions in humans.
Dust mites flourish in the fibers of carpeting and on hardwood floors. A study showed that 10 percent of the general population, and 90 percent of people with allergic asthma, are allergic to dust mites and their droppings. Studies indicated that at least 45 percent of young Americans with asthma are allergic to house dust. Suffering from a dust allergy can be very frustrating, especially when dust occurs naturally in our homes on virtually every surface we touch.
Our floors in our homes are covered with these allergens. Transferring our bedding accessories to the floor and back to the bed results in these allergens getting onto your pillows, blankets and sheets and makes breathing problems worse.
If you have carpet in your home, dust can be even more of a problem for your allergies, because dust and the tiny, microscopic dust mites are trapped by carpet fibers, remain unseen and aren't always removed during vacuuming.
The Pillow Porch is designed to at least alleviate the time that people spend in bed. We spend 1/3 of our lives in our bed so it should be clean and free of allergens. By keeping your decorative pillows and other accessories off the dirty floor and off dusty furniture you will eliminate a huge amount of allergens from your sleeping environment.
Every bed in your home should have a Pillow Porch. They easily slide between the mattress and boxspring either at the base or side of your bed. Best of all, when not in use the Pillow Porch slides into the space between your mattress and boxspring and out of sight.
Breathe easier at night. The Pillow Porch will help keep your sleeping environment free from allergens and will alleviate your allergy symptoms both for you and your loved ones. ⚠️ WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm- www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
